Richard Blain Kinney, 80 of West Union passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with his daughter by his side. He was born October 10, 1945, in West Union, son of the late Russell and Ruth Elena Hughes Kinney. Kinney retired from Champion Agate Company aka as the Pennsboro Marble Company. He enjoyed woodworking, watching westerns and riding 4-wheelers. He loved spending time with family and friends along with his town he took pride in West Union. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Jean Harris and husband William, Clarksburg; one grandson, Anthony Williamson and wife Amanda, Fairmont; one brother, Leroy Kinney, Clarksburg; two nephews, Russell “Rusty” Kinney and wife Jennifer, Ronnie “Joe” Kinney and wife Misty; 4 great nephews and one great niece. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one grandson, Patrick Blain Harris; four brothers, Ray Edward Kinney, Ronnie Kinney, Robert “Bob” Kinney, and Rodney “Buck” Kinney. Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home – West Union, 212 Front Street, West Union, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 3PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 6:00 PM with Pastor Leonard Ludwick officiating.
